My name is Eve Le Fay, and I have been a storyteller in Letchworth Garden City for the past year. Why stories? The art of oral storytelling has a long history all around the world. The stories seem to come alive and connect with people of all ages, far more than when read from a book. I enjoy telling and children and adults enjoy listening and joining in!
I can entertain small or large groups, and I cover many settings; weddings,childrens parties, older children's parties, old peoples homes, festivals, hospitals and hospices to name a few. I have sets of stories that I use from African to Finnish, and many themes which run in our own lives; birth, friendships and family. I can arrange other stories on request if a particular subject is important, or you have a favourite story you want to share.
I offer a mobile service which is based in Letchworth Garden City, but covers Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridge.
